![]() ![]() Veeam saves a checksum for every data block in the backup. Additionally, Backup Copy Job performs an integrity check of the backup data. The primary task of Backup Copy Job is to copy existing backup data to another disk system in order to restore it later or even to send backup data to an offsite location (see the 3-2-1 Rule). I know that everyone says you should back up to a server, but I've never had any issue until now. Veeam's Backup Copy Job can provide more than its name suggests. My primary backup device is a Synology DS815+ and backup copies to DS416. Everything worked great until I decided to change Jobs. I've even tried to change the repository to an actual server for the Copy Job and it does the same thing.īottleneck says that it is the source, but it is only 42% busy for Processing changes. You can import backups created by a newer version of Veeam Backup & Replication, however, restore operations for this backup will not be available. Nothing has change hardware wise, the only difference is the old jobs were originally created in Veeam 9.5. Last week on my old back up copy jobs I was getting 150 MB/s throughput, now I'm only getting 15 MB/s throughput on the new jobs. Setting up Veeam, if not done right, can lead to components not working. I've done some rearranging of severs and decided to create new backup copy jobs. The installation of Veeam Backup & Replication v11a is a straightforward process. ![]() I've been using Synology NAS device for Backup Copy Jobs for a while and have had no issues. ![]()
